ENDRO~! Episode 5: Royal Debut

The highly anticipated debut of the princess was upon us. Let’s see what kind of impression she made.

Retelling of an epic battle.jpg

Retelling of the epic Episode 4 battle.

We were introduced to the princess before the OP but we’ll get to her in a bit. We joined The Hero’s Party presenting their report to Mao about their seaside adventure. Unfortunately the entire class thought it sounded like something out of a children’s picture book.

Chibi-chan eating the barnacles.jpg

Chibi-chan may very well be the strongest Hero’s Party member after all.

After a Skyrim and Chibi-chan is OP joke everyone went outside to see what all the commotion was about.

Princess Rona Pricipa O'Lapanesta.jpg

Princess Rona Pricipa O’Lapanesta. Rona for short.

The hype princess Rona of the Lapanesta Kingdom introduced herself. When Mao went to greet her Rona explained she’s looking for the Hero of legend. Mao hesitated in introducing her but…After a cool (but misunderstood) Hero’s Party introduction Rona finally found her hero.

Yusha meets Rona.jpg

Fated meeting?

Rona was like “Wait. She is a girl?…No matter. Here I go! My hero. We meet at last!” She immediately held a ceremony to confirm whether Yusha was the yusha of legend. It took less than 3 seconds.

Rona knows.jpg

Rona knows.

Mao no longer cared about the hero thing after deciding to retire from the Demon Lord gig. However, a certain royal lady appeared to know her secret…

It is VERY IMPORTANT to highlight the Holy Adventure Abs whenever they grace our monitors.

Seira's tears of joy.jpg

Seira crying tears of joy because the Hero’s Party is FINALLY being respected.

While our heroines enjoyed their newfound popularity Princess Rona thought it all shallow and untruthful. She was like “They don’t see you as the amazing adorable badass that I do…WAIT! I know how to show them the truth”.

Big Teach hitting on Mao again.jpg

Hitting on Mao again.

Rona organized a Yusha Appreciation Festival which initially embarrassed our adorable hero but she eventually accepted it. Meanwhile the lovely big teacher had another plan to hit on Mao. SPOILER ALERT. She succeeded (off-screen sadly).

…I have no words. I busted my gut…but I have no words.

Yusha was very happy and thankful to Rona for the festival. Rona was pleased to hear this and invited her to a private tea session. There she explained the reason she wanted to meet her. She dreamed of becoming the Hero’s Bride. Yusha used the “But we’re both girls” card. Not because she’s freaked out but rather “Can two women marry here?” Rona was like “Oh poppycock. I am the princess. I can change the laws to suit our needs.”

Red Bulldozer.jpg

Red Bulldozer.

While trying to escape Big Teach’s sexy cheeks Mao got into trouble with a Red Bulldozer.

Badass Yusha.jpg

Badass Yusha.

Yusha was ready to leap into action but Rona tried holding her back saying there were knights and other Adventurers there to take care of the bulldozer. Yusha was like “Yeah…but I’m going anyway”. Rona was like “Because you are the Hero?” Yusha was like “Nope. Because it’s what I do”. Suddenly Rona’s heart went all doki doki.

The episode ended with a surprise transfer by Rona, I mean the yusha’s Rona. Good luck Mao. You’re gonna need it.

Best episode by far.

Everything I wanted and more, it couldn’t have been more perfect. I love all the other gay shows airing this season, but this one just got so far ahead to all of them, they’ll need to pull something really big if they want to top Rona’s proposal with her doki doki and changing the law to make gay marriage legal.

Yusha’s Rona sounds better the more I read it.

Chibi-chan being OP just feels oh so right.

That play had both me and my brother laughing! It was great!

And Yusha should always recap. Their always great!

More gay Teacher romance is always appreciated.

Yusha x Rona is a good ship. This episode was fantastic! My AOTS for sure!

Well this episode blew me away. And I watched this right after last week’s Manaria Friends. Not to mention that amazing episode of Wataten dedicated to the side couple. I’m not sure my heart can take it.

Another yuri princess this season! We need to encourage this trend as much as we can.

There’s so much good stuff in this episode I can’t even begin… choosing randomly, I got a laugh out of Mei using cartado to check on the color of the Yuusha figure’s panties. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find that Rona did her reasearch to ensure that they were completely accurate.

Hopefully their love wil be fulfilled.

  5. So many amazing moments! The play, Rona’s introduction, Chibi-chan, Fai realizing barnacles would make good food, Mao’s accident and subsequent realization of what she just did…so many moments where I couldn’t stop laughing.

And to top it off, so much gay as well! Rona being openly “Oh, she’s a girl! But that’s fine, I’ll marry her anyway!”, and then even further, having gay feelings for Yuusha near the end…and then gay teacher actually succeeding (off-screen sadly indeed) in one of her plans to hit on Mao as well…

In other words, a practically perfect episode. And the princess is staying, too! So more gay is sure to come!

Yuusha x Princess Rona is indeed a good ship, and I support it now. Accept the doki doki feelings in your heart, and let them bloom beautifully, princess! And then legalize gay marriage, yes, indeed.

Really good episode. I really like the princess. I liked that all throughout the episode Rona liked Yusha because she was the Hero (and it felt kind of forced to me?) but at the end she actually starts liking her as a person. Very interesting that she know who Mao is. Should make for more fun and interesting stuff.

basically, up until that point she was just living out her childhood fantasy. She didn’t really love Yulia (I DO NOT REMEMBER HER NAME), but only loved “the hero”. Or rather the idea of it. The idea she had built up in her head. But then she finally met who Yulia really was, and this was no longer her childhood fantasy, but an actual feeling of love beginning to bloom. So, in short, it was indeed forced up to that point.

I already gave Rory a pretty good impression of what I thought of the ep, but I will add that the teacher onerori has been very welcome~

And Rona is indeed a fantastic member of the cast and more than lived up to the hype~

And of course, this is my AotS currently, and I don’t think it’ll likely be taken off that spot ❤

I love it. It’s adorable that Yuusha is so much shorter than her new girlfriend.

I want to see them marry ^^

Rona’s debut was very much worth the wait. She’s a brilliant addition to the cast, and I agree that this has been the best episode so far. This show is putting forth a very strong argument to be my favourite show of this season.

As expected, this episode is a great episode. I liked how Rona falls in love with Yulia even if her hero is a girl. It’s bound to happen and she is not letting that cliche get that in the way. Still, with her being the new addition to the party, I wonder what part she will take besides having Yulia by her side.

Rona x Yusha all the way, this needs to happen by the end. They need to get married.

Aside from all the Rona and Yusha moments, this week’s ep was solid. Good to see that sexy dark skinned teacher back too, she’s always a treat in whatever scene she’s in. Still would’ve loved to see her and that other dark skinned adventurer at the beach, but oh well. They’re pretty much wearing the equivalent of swimsuits most of the time, so I guess it kinda all pans out in the end.

Looking forward to more yuri goodness next week!

Mao-chan should know, from her experience, that what Yusha and her peeps did on that beach was highly possible 😛

And that Truth card scene 😀 Well…it’s one of the Seven Founding Heavens, a super rare card so I guess it’s like super Hi-tech so it’s faster and more convenient for the user. But the play was really funny…somehow I feel bad for those knights 😛

I wonder how Rona will treat Mao-chan now. Maybe she’ll turn yandere later LOL 😛

  17. K says:

Bah, nobody believed they had such an action-packed adventure. I guess they’re (except Mao most likely) thinking only pro-adventurers could’ve done something like that.

Whenever I see the first Hero, the spiky hair and the red armour always has me and my brother thinking “Adol, is that you?”

Fai Fai may have food and fighting on her mind most of the time but she sure loves to drop truth bombs here and there.

That Hero scanning cartado did its job instantly. A Sorting Hat in card form, it is.

Seira despaired being played by a bulky knight. She should take inspiration from Toph concerning that.

Princess Rona admires the Hero and is very devoted to her duty to lend her aid to this generation’s Hero. Yulia being a girl surprised her but whatever. Throwing this grand festival for Yulia brought the princess great joy but Yulia’s reason for jumping into harm’s way really set her heart afire.

It really seems like she’s onto Mao, doesn’t it? That aside, seeing as Mao basically retired from her Demon Lord gig, would she be forced to pick up that mantle eventually or would another Demon Lord come and take her place?
