Maybe I should give Mauron or Zack the duty of writing episodics for Mitsuboshi Colors because as fun as it is to watch I don’t have much to say about it. Eh. A lot of people like it so they drop by with plenty to add so we’ll keep going. Anyway that’s not what I’m most excited to discuss this week.
The first sketch began with Yui and Kotoha talking about a prank Sat-chan pulled. Yui wanted to go to the same school as them…to which Kotoha remarked her not having friends. Then something magical happened…While Kotoha is my favorite character she got what she deserved from Yui. See, you all thought the shocking reveal last time was a low blow to her ego…this time Yui intentionally DESTROYED HER! I was like “Finally…FINALLY Yui stood up for herself and got one over her friends who consistently made her cry.”
And then she completely wasted it by feeling bad about it and begging Kotoha to forgive her. I could write an entire paragraph on why this upset me…but it’s not worth it…at all.
Anyway the first sketch’s case was for Colors to pick up trash around town because of Sat-chan’s prank.Saitou was close to getting tortured but was saved by common sense. I did question the humanity of Sat-chan’s teacher though. Lastly the solution to solving the case was quite clever in its own way.
The second case had Yui treating the girls to chocolate but suddenly they smelled something stinky and thought it was a corpse. Turns out the stench came from ginkgo nuts.
Interested in them being edible and other purposes they collected several…
…to torture Saito.
I won’t go into much detail on Colors’ Halloween Adventure because it’s easily one of the best sketches in the show and kinda made up for Yui’s failure to get over earlier.
Okay that’s done. Time for what I imagine most of you are here for.
It was Eiko’s birthday and somehow everyone in class got her hairpins. Well…almost everyone. More on that in a bit.
Tomato jokingly prayed over Eiko because she looked divine with those hairpins (That or Pinko is a heavenly brand for women). Hana prayed for Eiko having a happy year and she called her a good girl. Tomato said that meant she herself was a bad girl but Hana said otherwise, prompting this loving hug.
And then…the magic began…unless you’re on adamantly Team Kamuri which meant the horror began.
So when this pairing was first hinted at I told everyone interested that Sensei was Eiko’s greatest challenge. She could conquer any girl in her class with no effort…except her. This greatly pleased our prodigy hunter who was determined to conquer this seemingly indomitable well seasoned prey. Before continuing the hunt though…
Very nice. Kamuri knows what she’s doing. She times her attacks well and isn’t worried about the competition. Best of luck to her.
Hana’s worries may seem mundane to some but I really am looking forward to the day she gets the courage to tell her friends and future girlfriend the truth.
Now back to the hunt.
Only Mai-chan knows where my mind went when I first saw this scene. Yeeeeessssss.
I hope we get to see more of her colleague. So anyway how did the two end up in that predicament above? Enami drank too much and her colleague was taking her home when out of nowhere Eiko showed up, saw the situation and took advantage of the colleague needing to go somewhere. Thus she took Enami to her apartment.
Let’s be real for a bit. In the real world this would be a very bad predicament. Teachers and social workers are taught early on to never let their students/clients find them out drunk or partying late at night…
HOWEVER, this is #Yuritopia. When it comes to love between women anything goes so long as it does not go against yuri law. This predicament did not go against yuri law. So anyway Eiko took the opportunity to find out what Enami really thought about her (The “Drunks are open books” thing.). While it didn’t go over well she was content with having Enami under her control. She was confident in her conquest.
Eiko offered to make a sober Enami coffee. She was confident in her victory until…
Eiko was still no match for Enami’s adult charms.
Later that day at school Eiko tried again but was cut short by a very interesting sight…
Hana noticed Eiko’s reaction to the necklace Enami was wearing so Eiko took her to her secret spot and revealed her secret. Eiko liked making accessories. Her mom ran a variety store and often put her accessories for sale. That necklace Enami wore was the very first Eiko brand accessory ever sold. Eiko was so happy she wept tears of joy. Also the hairpin was the first Eiko brand accessory. As for Hana, Eiko confiding this secret with her gave her hope that when the time came it wouldn’t be difficult to tell hers.
Like I said. Team Kamuri vs Team Sensei. It is on!
