Let’s briefly go over Mitsuboshi and go right to Slow Start this time.
We joined Colors testing out some old toys Pops gave them. Of course they felt like doing it next to Officer Saito, further solidifying my theory that it’s their fault he turned him to the dark side. Anyway Kotoha became enamored with a kendama despite having no idea how it’s used, instead flinging it around like a spiked flail. Sadly they’re millennial children who had no respect for old-school. I do hope Kotoha will use the kendama again in later episodes.
The next sketch was a two-parter. It began with Colors reading a sad story. Why anyone would write a book like that is beyond me…then again internet critics would eat the story up. So the suffering of the elephants motivated our heroines to go to the zoo and save the elephants from starvation. Also there were many puns along the way. Surprised Kotoha didn’t burst out laughing though she did laugh several times.
At the zoo children in the 8th grade or lower could get in for free…which led to Colors thinking the zoo was going through hard times. This thought process was magnified when they saw a tiger eating and believed the bone came from Pops because he’s a big guy. Kotoha wanted to challenge the tiger to Mortal Kombat but couldn’t for obvious reasons.
On to Slow Start with Kamuri dreaming about her one true love.
Kamuri was so deep in thought thinking about Eiko she forgot to put on her skirt. Luckily she didn’t forget her panties and Eiko lent her her gym shorts. This talk about Eiko led to Tomato remembering her being so popular pictures of her were being sold in middle school. To Kamuri’s delight she gave her the last few she had for free.
When she looked at the photos she asked Eiko if this really was her. The reason for that was because before the two reunited in high school Kamuri saw the back of someone she thought to be Eiko on more than one occasion but was too shy to ask if the mystery girl was indeed her.
While Kamuri tried solving that mystery we joined Eiko and Tomato asking Sensei why she was wearing sports pants. This scene is a reason why official art exists of Eiko X Sensei. Also Sensei is yet another addition to Eiko’s harem.
Eiko’s guard was broken. Thankfully Kamuri was there to heal her.
Back to the “girl who looks like Eiko but isn’t Eiko” mystery Hana and Tomato joined Kamuri in solving it. Tomato and Kamuri brought up doppelgangers among other kinds of demons. Poor Hana believed the two and feared for Eiko’s life.
Thanks to Hana and Tomato combining their exorcist powers to uncover the truth it was revealed the “girl who looked like Eiko but wasn’t” both Hana and Kamuri saw at some point was none other than Imouto-Sauce herself, Mickey! Mickey was preparing for her high school entrance exam and asked Eiko for advice. The backstory to Kamuri and Eiko is a bit of a long one. Short version is Kamuri overheard the high school Mickey was applying for and thought that’s the school Eiko was going to despite Eiko herself not being certain that’s the one she wanted to apply for at the time.
The episode ended with a scene that’s sure to bring joy to most who saw it. So much “d’awwwwww”.
Also make sure to stay tuned after the ED for bonus cuteness.
Good stuff from both shows yet again.
Before we finish the post let’s continue the tradition of sharing Mai-chan tweets:
Yes. I know I forgot to gush about Cousin Shion and mention Hiroe’s scene but aside from Mai-chan’s thoughts on it that’s all they got this episode, one scene.
