While not much happened in terms of plot or character development it was a most delightful episode because it starred the delightful hunter…but with a twist.
We started the episode in an odd way with different visuals, revealing Renge (gay vice prez) and Kurumi (flower girl) trapped in a mental illusion by a plant Irous similar to what happened to Superman once. Lovely flowers aplenty with some lilies here and there. The girls finished off the Irous, complete with a “Todomeda!” from Misaki. Everyone was alright. As for Renge and Kurumi…
Renge and Kurumi had somehow swapped bodies. What I found funny about the token “Wow. This new body’s hot.” trope scene was that this time it was a hot chick swapping bodies with another hot chick who is super gay.
The two agreed that for the time being they would pretend to be each other. First of all it was because Renge didn’t want to bother the teachers with something this “small” compared to their war with the Irous. The other reasons readers can easily guess.
Of course I’m requesting a full body shot of when the two showed off their bikinis.
Sadone asking “Kurumi” for help on how to play the recorder. Readers can imagine how “Kurumi” reacted.
Renge got what she wanted from everyone but Misaki. Let’s just say she let her guard down around her…so close. Eventually Renge and Kurumi got their bodies back and while she apologized for her actions as “Kurumi”, she’s a proud hunter and a true hunter never gives up!
After the ED we got a better look at the big bad’s garb and it isn’t bad at all. She felt the time was right to get serious. We’ll find out what her super weapon is next time.
