Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Episode 6: Home Visits

This episode’s introduction made me laugh uncontrollably for five minutes.

Riko excited to have Kanna visit her place.jpg

Yup. The first segment was about these two, which means eternal happiness awaits.

So Riko invited her beloved bundle of electric fluff to play at her place and Kanna accepted. She brought along Tohru so she could discuss maid stuff with Riko’s maid and Miss Kobayashi also for her maid expertise. Oh and because they’re her “moms”.

Georgie.jpg

Georgie. Riko’s family maid.

There they met the maid in question, Georgie. Miss Kobayashi was blown away by Georgie’s expertise in maidology. When the three headed to their room Tohru couldn’t keep up with Miss Kobayashi and Georgie’s passion for maids but it all worked out in the end. That was that but the most important part of the segment featured our young lovebirds.

rikos-bliss

Two little lesbians playing a thrilling game of Yuri Twister.

After a wonderful game of Yuri Twister our little heroines sat to play some Mario Kart on Riko’s XBOX One S. Kanna asked Riko if she was getting along well with their classmates. After Riko said she’s super popular Kanna explained that she wanted a relationship similar to that between Tohru and Miss Kobayashi. When Riko openly declared how much she cared about Kanna…

Kanna pouncing on Riko.jpg

Kanna about to pounce on Riko.

Who knows what would have happened had Riko not forgotten one of the most important lessons in anime rom-coms: Always lock the door when you want to try and get intimate with your loved one. After our adorable family went back home Riko thought long and hard about what had happened on that fateful day whereas Kanna quietly spoke her desires. Oh and “Georgie” was actually Riko’s older sister who loved to pretend being a maid and was also a maid otaku like Miss Kobayashi.

Lucoa and Shouta.jpg

Shouta and Lucoa.

The next segment was about Lucoa and her supposed master, a young lad named Shouta. See, one night Lucoa sensed Shouta performing a summoning ritual. Supposedly he comes from a family of magicians. Lucoa out of curiosity checked things out and accidentally made it appear like he had summoned her. She dropped by our heroines’ pad in hopes of them helping Shouta better understand Lucoa since her attempts to comfort him through seduction failed. He then explained the reason he tried summoning a demon was to show his father that he was a worthy successor. Miss Kobayashi told him it was troublesome for Lucoa to be wasting her time there.

Desperate Lucoa.jpg

I love Lucoa’s eyes.

Shouta agreed but Lucoa didn’t have anywhere else to go so she tried convincing Shouta to let her stay by offering infinite riches, knowledge and power to be of use to him but Shouta is an honorable lad prefering to earn his success. Lucoa went back to square one but that didn’t help either. In short nothing changed between the two.

A decent segment that my younger self would have enjoyed. Otherwise I just enjoyed learning more about Lucoa. Shouta’s cool though.

Testing a doujin game.jpg

Mr Fafnir and Mr Otaku testing a doujin game.

The third segment, as expected, was about Mr Fafnir and Mr Otaku. Long story short it was the day in the life of two otaku just chillin’. Mr Fafnir still didn’t like humans but living with Mr Otaku he, like Tohru realized that not all humans suck. Also I imagine fujoshi will have a field day with these two.

Tohru and Kobayashi under an umbrella.jpg

Here’s another cute KobaToh snuggle moment.

Look at her. A fluffy nuclear bomb that could destroy an entire continent. I’m not talking about her power as a dragon.

Fun episode with some chillaxed moments. Next time will be a favorite of yours truly, finally.

Poor Lucoa!! She reminds me of Mutsuki from Haunted Junction!!!
And I don’t know if I can survive the remainder of this series
I may lose all my teeth and die from Type-II diabetes

I wish I could lip read….but i”m terrible at it no matter the language

I love how the mangaka for this doesn’t skip around the desires of characters. There’s zero question how Riko thinks of Kanna, and how Kanna thinks of Riko. There’s also zero question of how Tohru thinks of Kobayashi, and not much question of how kobayashi feels about Tohru

  5. What a very lewd loli-on-dragon-loli twister. Of course, we cannot have an episode without KobaTooru and their “sharing umbrella together” moment.

  6. One of the best episodes so far, in my opinion. Though mainly Kanna & Riko’s and Fafnir and Mr. Otaku’s parts of it. Neutral about Lucoa and her “Shota”.

My heart nearly died from that first part, especially with the bit about marriage. Not having read that chapter of the manga and not knowing what to expect certainly also increased the effect, like with how steamy it got between Kanna and Riko all of a sudden. Also, damn you series for leaving out what Kanna was thinking about what she was about to do to Riko before being interrupted! …Though it does allow us to imagine it ourselves instead, I suppose…so there is that. Also, Kanna is pretty forward with her love for such a tiny loli-dragon, huh? Careful, Kanna, don’t want to melt your lover. Too much, at least.

BL ship is also strong in this one, and such is good. Maybe Fafnir will want to kill at least one less human now, with having designated Mr. Otaku as a “hit”?

Cute umbrella moments are cute. “I have an umbrella, sure. but I choose to snuggle with you under your umbrella instead! Much better!”. And the fact that Kobayashi is fine with that too is great. ❤

Lucoa and Shouta is what it is.

Kanna and Riko are on their way to becoming a couple. Keep it up girls! The same goes for Tohru with Miss Kobayashi. Kanna has a poker face most of the time but when it comes to being assertive she won’t hold back.

Yeah. I see no problem with fujoshi relishing Mr Fafnir and Mr Otaku’s growing bond.

It seems like this show wants me to ship Fafnir and Takiya, and I’m completely cool with that.

As for the yuri, Tohru and Kobayashi and Kanna and Riko were adorable as always. I especially liked the scene where Kobayashi and Tohru are watching Kanna while sharing an umbrella.

I have to admit it’s cute to see Kanna and Riko playing together. Seeing them play twister is probably the funniest and adorable thing of this episode. Aside from that, it seems that Fafnir has a video game addiction, which is not surprising since video games are fun.

So we’re finally getting into the Shouta x Lucoa stuff. This is my least favorite part of the series because it just sexualizes her and uses forced pedophilia as a joke. They want us to laugh at the fact that Shouta is getting harassed by Lucoa but I can’t help feeling a bit disturbed. The worst part is how against it he is, and still is in the manga. This is why I’m not a fan of hers.

The Saikawa and Kanna part was cute. I liked the fact that they aren’t hiding any of the girls relationships or feelings. Also like that they are also showcasing Takiya and Fafnir and the male gay couple of the show. First Kyoani has been so blatant anout gay characters.

Where the hell is Elma? The wait is killing me.

Always love Tohru and Kobayashi intimate moment, but Kanna and Riko moment was golden. Kanna is not afraid to show her feeling despite having the coolest poker face ever. Wonder what Kanna was trying to do. My mind’s running wild. Also that was the best confession ever.

Shouta x Lucoa and Fafnir x Takita scenes was cute too. Lucoa’s trying to get close to Shouta, like Tohru and her human. And seeing him all scare of her, hurt her.

Next week is beach time, it’s gonna be fun.

Those two are absolutely going to get married when they are older! Of course, the other two are already married. I do say that Lucoa’s eyes are probably the coolest eyes I have ever seen in anime. The rain segment made me love rain, just from the cuddles of the married ones and the adorable little electric ball playing happily in her own adorable ways!

Kanna was super-cute as always! And her approach was very agressive indeed.
I guess Kanna x Riko might be the youngest yuri OTP in the history of anime.

The show now seems to have reinforced itself with new dragon x human pairings in Lucoa x Shouta and Fafnir x Mr. Otaku.
Both segments were fun to watch, so the fans of shota and yaoi genres would have been glad.

Well that Riko and Kanna moment was totally unexpected 😀 And just like Riko, my heart wasn’t ready. I knew that someone would barge in and interrupt I already knew that, but I somehow hoped no one would come in because I really want to know what Kanna would do next 😀

Anyway, Shouta’s seems really mature for his age not easily tempted with fame and fortune and power…that’s cool 🙂

Looks like it’s the gayest show of the season in more ways than one, now; the Fujoshi/danshi are gonna have a field day. I honestly didn’t think I was going to be paying much attention to Riko x Kanna when the ship was first introduced, but it’s starting to grow on me, I still don’t like it nearly as much as Tohru x Kobayashi, though. In conclusion, amazing episode as always, it was a great birthday present.

  16. OMG! Kannan x Saikawa is the only ship that is now side-by-side with my #1 Ship (Kyouko x Ayano), one more episode with them together and my heart will explode for sure!

Kanna and Saikawa. That escalated quickly. Those two are adorable. Riko’s marriage proposal was extra cute. I’m kind of glad they got interrupted since Riko wasn’t ready yet. I wonder how quickly courtship occurs in the Dragon World.

And yes, I squeed happily at Tohru and Kobayashi acting like two devoted moms, taking their dragon-born on a play-date. ^_^ I think Kobayshi will get over her shyness as long as Tohru doesn’t take dating tips from Lucoa.

Yeah, the Lucoa and Shouta bit wasn’t very funny. (Except, the kid’s name actually being SHOUTA)

Takiya and Faf-kun (I’m only calling him that) getting along was just gold! I love how how the dragons have evolved their feelings by interacting with humans. I’m not saying their a couple. But Takiya buying Faf-kun hair conditioner because he wants him to be silky smooth, when he shows him off to his otaku friends means nothing at all!

    Uf fu fu fu….

The things that must have gone through Riko’s mind when Kanna pounced…

Ms. Kobayashi found a great boon in Georgie. They can talk about maid-related things for hours on end. Poor Tohru can’t keep up with them, though. That’s a battle she’ll have to concede to the humans.

Fafnir’s doing well for himself in that world and he’s gotten used to Takiya. It was nice seeing a typical day in their lives. Bonus points for how Fafnir helped Takiya out with his doujin game.

The odds of Lucoa convincing Shouta that she’s not a demon is next to zero at this point and her seductive suggestions aren’t helping her any. Of course, she had other assets to offer him but the kid’s so level-headed (except when it comes to her body, obviously) that he doesn’t need ’em. Lucoa really wants to be useful to him but seeing her so flustered cracked me up.

Kanna likes the rain, eh? Rainy days have their good points, though I wonder if it’s related to her being a thunder dragon.

  21. Oh God, what an episode this was. I don’t even know where to begin with it, really.

First off, I guess I’ll say that while I am a little surprised that Shouta was a well, shota…that does not change my love for Lucoa at all. I’m not usually a fan of BBWs, but her personality coupled with the lore surrounding her as Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec feathered serpent ex-goddess is probably why I’m so endeared toward her.

The only thing that makes me mad about her relationship with Shouta is that that’s not me in his shoes LOL. 😛

As for Kanna x Saikawa…oh my fucking God, if ever there was a ship of the season, there it is. Tohru x Kobayashi-san is great and wholesomely real and I support it all the way, Fafnir x Kobayashi’s otaku co-worker/drinking buddy is also a treasure.

But KannaRiko…I don’t even know. My heart just exploded when Kanna sat in her lap, when Riko said she wanted to marry her, and then when Kanna pinned her down…fuuuuuuuuuck.

And I think even though they’re kids, its perfectly natural for them to understand their feelings for each other and know what they want. Their relationship is so great, I absolutely love it aaaaaaah.

I just love how this show naturalizes homosexual and supernatural/interspecies relationships like its nothing. It’s wonderful, truly wonderful. Sasuga KyoAni.
