Koukaku no Pandora Episode 10: No Subtitle Necessary

Last week we left Clarion in a pinch. What would Nene do after finding out that her wifey was not by her side?

Worried Nene

Panicking Gertcommas

Nene was so worried about Clarion’s words that she could barely keep it together, reading her note as her being a burden to her kitty spouse.

Another Uzal message

The next to receive Uzal’s important message was Captain Robert. Question was what would he do with this valuable info? On the sidelines American army troopers were up to no good assaulting innocents.

Nene in trouble

Bad idea to climb a tree in your current emotional state Nene.

Robert to the rescue

Good thing Robert used his nick of time powers.

Nene being constructed

“Insert another Ghost in the Shell reference here and another reason for selfish fanboys to whine that they’re not getting another GitS show.”

Anyway thanks to Robert’s sound advice to not worry about being a burden to someone who cares about you like Clarion does for Nene, Nene cheered up and decided to anxiously wait for her spouse’s triumphant return.

Vli- trying to be cool again and failing.

One day you will find the fame you work so hard to obtain and it won’t get yanked away from ya 2 minutes later.

Police force ready for action

Robert took Uzal’s message to heart and rallied the police force against the American army.

Nene's dream

Nene was ready, so ready for her beloved cyber kitty prince’s return. Ready to be eaten.

BUER relieved

Believe it or not this scene made me laugh more than Nene’s prince cyber kitty wet dream. So BUER informed Nene of her wife’s whereabouts.

Intimidating foe

We finally got glimpses of the hyped showdown and it was as intense as we had hoped.

Clarion's counterattack

Clarion was backed into a proverbial wall and thus unleashed her secret weapons, then proceeded to layeth the lezborg smacketh down on the big guy, until…

Big android without its cloak

Holy cow…

Clarion in trouble

Will Nene and BUER arrive on time to rescue Clarion?

BTW, “fond” is translated to “like”, meaning “love”. Do not be fooled by Funimation’s poor attempt at “yuriwiping”. If they do it in the English dubs, again do not be fooled. Nene’s feelings for Clarion (and obviously vice-versa) are romantic.

;_; waiting for next week will be rough…

Glad that Robert isn’t just a dog of Curtis, like I thought he may have been. Interesting how the Chairman is more important than he seemed. Things are really coming together. This is going to be an amazing finale I can tell. Once Nene finds Clariion, I can imagine that Curtis will drastically wish he hadn’t of messed with the couple.

Lol Nene is completely losing herself to lust now.

(Be honest, I really doubt about possibility that you can search, understanding and clarifying the information.)

(Somehow, I feel like this cmt is a troller… Man, the internet is so dangerous!)

You know things are getting serious when Clarion gets out the knives w/out the excuse of protecting her ears, i’m already getting impatient for next week and hopefully Nene’s Big heroic moment, also Nene’s claring~ fantasy totally reminded me of a non-creepy version of chinatsu’s Yui-lust, i was almost expecting the welcome home part to go “Would you like to charge? or do some maintenance? or… Me?” XD

P.S pretty sure anyone who’s actually watching this show already knows “suki” and it’s romantic connotations, at this point i swear Funi are just being trolls rather than legit homophobes.

      Next week is most hype.

Ah yes. Nene reciting the classic line anime girls throw at their love interests when they’re hungry.

Considering the number of yuri shows they picked up recently I go with the latter.

Dear my friend, the original manga is yuri crush (actually yuri 69%, or higher)
So the studio has no right to troll us. They have to obey the author order.
I believe that I did share a manga database link in somewhere in Yuri Nation’s post. Try to look for it, you will see I am right :3

I actually own the manga, (err collecting, volume 8 comes out in a couple of weeks), i really just wanted to try being “impartial” as i could towards studios like funi due to their service of mass translations, even if they do annoy the hell out of me like this sometimes.

        Also that 69% lol.

@EasyO don’t worry about it. Studio is a studio, they are worker, that’s all. They have no right to change the story unless the author say yes… And besides, we don’t have to support for a poor produce like that (if it comes true) … Well I don’t really care about Eng trans because prefer a original voice with sub than trans voice. (You can buy an orig to support and torrent is ready for a sub. Ya know)

All I’ve heard at the end of this episode is ‘dai suki’ which mean ‘really love’. ‘Fond’ may be ok too, right?

In my opinion, this ep is the best. Yuri-ish, action, comedy, dirty-mind… everything I need are in one ep. Such a miracle!

“Datte, Kurarin no koto ga suki desu kara” is what I believe was the exact line. It could have been “suki dakara’, but that doesn’t change it. “fond” is greatly reducing the intent. Especially when that line is a very common line used for a confession. Admittedly, that line alone is not enough. But the context throughout the show has made it clear that that was a “love confession”, rather than just saying “I like you as a friend”.

This can usually be a very confusing thing, and is why you commonly hear/read “tomodachi to betsu no imi” or something similar afterwards, because the girl has to clarify that it’s something that is not limited to “friendship”.

A boy says this line to a girl, there’s zero doubt. In fact, a boy will have to clarify that it’s “friends”, if he’s not making a confession afterwards.

To note, even “dai suki” can be used between friends. “Aishiteru” is the one that is very rarely taken as something different. You only use that for family members, or possibly a friend you are REALLY close to (outside someone you romantically love, of course). If you say it seriously anyway.

Clarion for manliest Prince Charming Award.

Nene and Robert were down in the dumps but after certain conversations (Robert’s pep-talk and Uzal’s instructions to Robert), they back in high spirits again. Being depressed isn’t their thing.

Clarion put up a valiant fight but she eventually fell and I say that’s all thanks to that Bunny. At least Ms.Bunny can say she did something right, even though it was due to Clarion saving her from certain death.

This was a great episode, but the one thing that stood out the most was all the dark skinned characters. I’m really loving that they are so numerous, best seen in Robert’s army and not simply background filler characters or villains. It’s a nice change from the norm.

wow gotta say, the action is top notch this episode. And I can see why they voted this #3 or so in the yuri anime poll. Nene is super gay for her kitty lezborg!
